S2G Biochemicals Inc. is pleased to announce it will receive $1 million in funding support from the Province of British Columbia’s for its bio-glycol pilot plant project in Delta, BC. The funding comes from BC’s Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund, established to support the development of new clean tech sector technologies. The project, scheduled to start in Q2, 2012, will demonstrate the viability of producing bio- glycols from agricultural, forest and biofuels industry feedstocks. With an overall budget of $4.8 million, it will showcase S2G BioChem’s unique Sugar-to-Glycol process and help spur commercialization of this important technology.

This project will provide key reference data and demonstration of S2G's technology, allowing us to proceed quickly to commercial projects. S2G intends to kick off the project in early 2011.
